Nils Kavanagh Trio at Calstock Arts

Irish-Danish pianist Nils Kavanagh arrives at Calstock Arts with his trio to perform music from his debut album, No Expectations. Joined by Sam Green and Benedict Stevens, the trio weaves together themes of home, folk mythology, loss, and joy — shaped by Nils' upbringing in north-west Ireland and his time in Scandinavia. The focus is on warm melody and musical storytelling, rooted in jazz but reaching into broader traditions. Winner of Young Irish Jazz Musician of the Year 2022 and a BBC Young Jazz Musician finalist in 2024, Nils is quickly establishing a distinctive voice on the UK and Irish jazz scene. Tickets are £14–£16 for what promises an intimate evening in the Tamar Valley.
