Dale Storr – The Sounds of New Orleans at Calstock Arts

Dale Storr is widely regarded as one of the UK's finest exponents of New Orleans piano, earning praise from Paul Jones on BBC Radio 2 and Richard Hawley among others. Jazz Journal has called him the 'piano man's piano man' and 'a national treasure'. His playing draws deeply on the traditions of Dr John, James Booker, Professor Longhair, Allen Toussaint and Fats Domino, weaving together blues, boogie and funk into a rich, infectious sound. Expect an evening of virtuosic, joy-filled piano music in the intimate surroundings of Calstock Arts, right on the banks of the Tamar. Tickets are priced between £14 and £16.
