Children and Domestic Abuse - Victims in their own right (F2F Truro)
Children who grow up in households where domestic abuse is present experience real and lasting harm — and this Level 2 training course is designed to help professionals understand that harm, recognise it, and respond appropriately. Delivered face-to-face in Truro on 11th September 2026, the course runs from 10am to 4pm at the Cornwall Council Building and is free to attend. Aimed at those working with families, parents, and children in Cornwall, the training looks at the impact of domestic abuse on children's development, behaviour, and wellbeing — and what professionals can do about it. It forms part of the wider Domestic Abuse & Sexual Violence training programme and is available to book through Eventbrite. If you're in a role where safeguarding children matters, this is a day worth giving up.
