Beginner pottery course at Garath the Goat, Truro

Garath the Goat Pottery is opening its new Truro studio with an eight-week course designed for people who have never worked with clay before. Sessions run on Monday evenings from 6.30 to 8.30pm, starting 5 October and finishing 23 November, with a maximum of eight participants keeping things personal. Over the eight weeks you will work through hand building, coiling, throwing, glazing and finishing, with space to develop a piece of your own alongside the structured projects. All clay, glazes and firings are included in the price. Everything made during the course will be fired and ready to collect by around 15 December — a satisfying way to end the year with something you made yourself.
