The Railway Children at Bude Castle Lawn
Paperback Theatre stage an open-air adaptation of Edith Nesbit's much-loved novel on the Castle Lawn in Bude. When their father mysteriously disappears, Bobbie, Peter and Phyllis are sent to a quiet railway village where they befriend the locals, discover the thrills of the nearby line, and set about unravelling the mystery. It's a warm, family-friendly production — the age advisory is seven and above. Bring your own seating or blankets and arrive in good time, as there's no reserved seating. Refreshments will be available on site, and cash is welcome for a raffle supporting a local Bude cause. Part of the North Coast Arts 2026 programme of open-air events along North Cornwall's coast.
