Acrylics and Mixed Media Club — Autumn
Damian leads this three-session painting club at the Cornish Craft Barn, Blackwater — Tuesday mornings on 6, 13 and 20 October, 9:30 to 12:00. Eight seats; beginners and improvers are welcome together, and no prior acrylics experience is needed for the first session. The series costs £90 paid as a whole (£30 per session). The first session covers colour theory, avoiding muddy mixes, dark-to-light layering, form and perspective, and palette-knife marks. Sessions two and three open into mixed media — inks, texture pastes, collage and found paper over an acrylic ground — with the whole series working towards one finished piece: St Michael's Mount in mixed media. A short materials list is sent before you start, and a starter kit is available at cost if you would rather not source your own yet. Each week includes a one-page recap with demonstration photos and a group album. Participants receive first refusal on Series 2 — six Tuesdays from 3 November to 8 December (£180) — before it is offered publicly.
