Acrylics underneath, then inks, texture and collage over them — and the judgement about when a piece is finished, which is the hard part. Tuesdays 09:30–12:00 — 3, 10, 17 and 24 November, then 1 and 8 December — at the Cornish Craft Barn. £30 a session, paid as one series of £180. Six weekly sessions of two and a half hours, 8 seats, beginners and improvers together. Series 1 is not a prerequisite — no acrylics experience needed for the first session. Colour without mud, dark-to-light layering, palette-knife marks; then inks, texture pastes, collage and found paper over that ground. A short materials list before you start, and a starter kit at cost if you would rather not buy your own yet. A one-page recap each week with the demonstration photos, and the group’s own album. A finished mixed-media piece, and a last session given to whatever the group most wants to nail. The ladder: an Essentials half-day is the taster; a Club Series is where you get properly better at one medium; Studio mornings are the room to keep painting in.
