Alantide Apple Festival at Liskeard Museum
Alantide is an old Cornish festival with roots in apple harvest tradition, and Liskeard Museum is marking it with a hands-on session for families this October half term. Children aged five and over can learn about this lesser-known piece of Cornish heritage before making their own apple print wall hanging to take home. The session runs on Saturday 31 October with a maximum of ten children per group. Places cost £2 per participant and must be booked in advance through the museum's website. This is the final event in a broader half-term programme at Liskeard Museum exploring Cornish myths and legends, which also includes sessions on witches, Knockers, and the Green Man throughout the week.
