Anna Anise Band — Aneth Album Launch
Anna Anise brings her album launch tour to The Falcon Hotel in Bude, performing songs from Aneth — a debut bilingual record woven together in English and Cornish (Kernewek). On stage with her are violinists and vocalists Lizzie Pridemore, Millie Young, and Issy Meltzer, whose string arrangements and close harmonies are central to the album's sound. Rooted in Cornish identity, the music carries what one reviewer called a "rhythmic, lamentful optimism". Support comes from Lore and Lament, a Cornish-based duo whose liminal alt-folk draws on traditional English and Celtic songs. Vinyl and CD copies of Aneth will be available to buy on the night.
