Bayeux, Battles and Making History

The exhibition runs from 13 February to 11 April 2027 at The Box, Torpoint, and is ticketed. It includes what is described as the biggest digital screening of the Bayeux Tapestry in the UK, shown as part of the Bayeux Around Britain programme, supported by WorldQuant. Alongside this are fourteen paintings by artist Robert Borlase Smart (1881–1947) depicting his experience of the Battle of the Somme. The exhibition also hopes to include a recently discovered representation of the Bayeux Tapestry found in a 1767 volume in the Cottonian Collection. Tickets can be booked via the venue's website and online shop.
