Bring Your Verses — open mic poetry night
Held every second Wednesday at The Old Library on Lower Bore Street, Bring Your Verses is an open mic night for poets and spoken word performers at any stage — whether you've never touched a microphone or you've been performing for years. This month introduces a new theme: "New Chapters". Organisers describe it as covering fresh starts, hard lessons, and turning points — whatever that means to you. The night is hosted by Robert Gillett (Beneath The Tracksuit) and Mat (Charles Poems). Come ready to share, or simply pull up a seat and listen. There's no pressure either way, and the bar is fully stocked.
