Broadside Hacks Recordings showcase at the Cornish Bank
Broadside Hacks Recordings brings two of its artists to the Cornish Bank in Falmouth for an evening of folk music with real depth and presence. American singer-songwriter Spitzer Space Telescope has spent years travelling across America and Europe, absorbing folk traditions before shaking them loose — his songs draw on the brash, full-throated singing of The Clancy Brothers and carry that intensity into every performance. Bristol singer-songwriter Myer U Clark opens the night with what he calls off-kilter folk pop, drawing from his recent album Tinder Box. A good choice for anyone who likes their folk music direct and unpolished in the best sense — played in a proper pub setting on a Wednesday evening in November.
