Bystander in the Community training, Redruth Library
Barnardos - Safer Futures runs this free, in-person Level 1 course at Redruth Library on Thursday 26 November, 2pm to 3:30pm. The session provides basic knowledge of domestic abuse, sexual violence and harassment within Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, and covers how to be an active bystander. It is aimed at people who work directly with those affected by domestic abuse and who want to develop their knowledge and understanding further. The course is interactive, with activities throughout. Participants are expected to have their camera on for the full duration. Each person must book individually and use their own device — laptop sharing between colleagues at the same workplace is not permitted. This training is funded for individuals who work and/or live in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly only.
