
Care of the Dying Patient course, Hayle
This course is aimed at all health and social care staff caring for people in the last days and hours of life. It takes place on Thursday 8 October 2026 at 1:00 pm at St Julia's Hospice in Hayle and runs for three hours. The session covers recognising the dying patient, sensitive communication, common symptoms in the last days of life, and symptom management and care planning. It also addresses the five priorities for care and how those priorities support the provision of dignity, comfort and compassionate care. A certificate is awarded on completion. The course cost includes refreshments. The organiser offers alternative dates and venues, as well as other courses.
