Carve Club: Norwegian Christmas
Carve Club is a monthly lino printmaking session run by Erin from Pick Pretty Paints — a printmaker, author, teacher and paint creator based at the Sloop Studios in St. Ives. Each month explores a different theme, using the work of well-known lino printmakers as inspiration, with Erin guiding participants through tools and techniques while encouraging experimentation and personal expression. This session takes a Norwegian Christmas theme. You'll work with templates and traditional Scandinavian shapes — including the selbu eight-pointed star — to create festive stamps, with finished printed work that can be constructed into bunting or decorations. Described as a relaxed session focused on the rhythmic process of carving and printmaking, it also covers mark-making and ways to develop your own visual language. Tickets start from £30.
