Claygroup pottery workshop, Redruth
Claygroup is a drop-in handbuilding session for adults held on Friday mornings at The Art Room in Redruth. There's no rigid instruction or pressure to follow a set project — you work at your own pace, shaping small functional or sculptural pieces from white stoneware clay and finishing them with underglazes and brush-on glazes. Firings are included in the price and happen when there's enough dry work to fill a kiln. Beginners are welcome and can pick up basic techniques as they go, while more experienced makers can simply arrive, grab a coffee, and get on with it. Help is always available, but experimentation is actively encouraged. No ongoing commitment is needed — book a single session online whenever suits you, or save 10% by booking four or more dates at once.
