Claygroup pottery workshop, Redruth
Claygroup is a relaxed handbuilding session for adults, running Friday mornings at The Art Room in Redruth. Sessions work with white stoneware clay to build small functional or sculptural pieces by hand, decorated with underglazes and brush-on glass glazes. Firings happen whenever there is enough dry work to fill a kiln, and are included in the price. The session is designed without pressure or instruction overload. If you are new to clay, the organisers can guide you through basic techniques, or you can explore as you go. Experienced makers can book in and get started straight away. Help is always at hand, and experimentation and risk-taking are encouraged. There is no ongoing commitment — book online whenever you feel like coming. A 10% reduction applies at checkout if you book four or more dates. Sessions start at 12:00pm and cost from £20. If you make pieces, note that uncollected work can only be held while space allows, so it is worth letting the organisers know if you plan to collect at a later date.
