Cornish Gold at Kestle Barton
Cornish Gold is a photography exhibition at Kestle Barton, the rural arts centre near Helston, opening on Saturday 12 September at 10:30am. The images document the lives of flower farmers and seasonal pickers on the Lizard Peninsula — one of Cornwall's most distinctive and fertile stretches of coastline. Expect intimate, working portraits of people and landscapes that rarely make it into the tourist picture of Cornwall: fields in full bloom, the physical labour of the harvest, and the quiet rhythms of an industry rooted in this particular place. A good visit for anyone with an interest in documentary photography, local agriculture, or the less-told stories of Cornish life.
