Cornish Knockers and Tin Miners Lanterns
Part of Liskeard Museum's October half term programme exploring Cornish folklore, myths and legends, this session dives into the story of Cornish Knockers — the mischievous underground spirits said to haunt the county's tin mines. Children aged seven and over will hear the tales behind the legend, then get hands-on making their own tin miners lantern to take home. Sessions are kept small, with a maximum of ten children, so there is plenty of time and space for everyone. Places cost £2 per child and must be booked in advance through the museum's website. A second session runs the same day at 2:00 pm if the morning slot is full.
