If you can make a mark on paper, you can make a portrait here: loose, expressive, full of character, and unmistakably yours. It’s a relaxed day of playing with watercolour and watching a face appear almost by accident — not a test of accuracy. This is a relaxed, small-group morning (9:30am–12:45pm) with proper one-to-one time, and you’ll go home with a finished portrait you’ll actually be proud of , plenty of tea and cake inside you, and the slightly addictive feeling that you can do this after all. The secret nobody tells you A likeness doesn’t live in careful detail — it lives in a few honest relationships. The distance between the eyes, the tilt of the head, the line from the corner of the eye to the corner of the mouth. Get those right and the face is already them before you’ve painted a single eyelash. I’ll show you exactly how — no rendering, no fiddling, no pressure.
