Derek v Derek film screening at Newquay Orchard
Cornish social cinema collective 99pfilms brings Derek v Derek to Newquay Orchard on Monday 2 November — a film about farming and the struggle to make space for nature, told directly by the farmers themselves. Blunt, funny and heartwarming, it has picked up awards on the festival circuit. The evening begins with doors at 5:45pm and a vegan hot pot feast at 6pm, cooked on site by Heart and Soul Orchard using seasonal vegetables grown in the grounds. The film screening and discussion follow from 7pm to 9pm. A good fit for anyone curious about land use, food growing or rural life in Cornwall — and a chance to enjoy a communal meal before the credits roll. Tickets are paid; book via the organiser's link.
