Derek vs Derek — documentary screening at Calstock Arts
James Dawson's documentary follows Derek Banbury, a dairy farmer appalled by the transformation of his neighbour's land, and Derek Gow, a former sheep farmer who has embraced rewilding with no apologies. Set in the Devon hills, the film captures a clash of values that feels urgent and deeply personal. The result is funny, at times genuinely moving, and squarely aimed at one of the most important conversations in rural Britain right now — how farming and nature recovery might find a way to coexist. Screening at Calstock Arts on Thursday 10 December at 7:30pm. Tickets are £8.25, and it promises an evening well worth the trip across the Tamar.
