
Diana Taylor: Short Films About Life in Cornwall
Award-winning film director Diana Taylor presents a programme of short films exploring what makes Cornwall distinctive, from wild-living locals to Newlyn fishermen and the women who worked in St Ives' textile industries. The selection also includes a film on the mining community around St Just, a poetry film in the Cornish language by fluent speaker Owain Holland, and a piece by the late Frank Ruhrmund of the Cornishman. Diana spent most of her career as an editor with the BBC. Screening at St Ives Arts Club as part of the St Ives September Festival, doors open at 12.30pm for the 1pm start.
