Discover your ancestors — free family history session
This free introductory session at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in St Austell is designed for anyone curious about their family history but unsure where to begin. Running from 7:30pm to 9pm on Wednesday 28 October, it covers the basics — reading records and certificates, and making use of online tools that can take your search surprisingly far. Whether your roots run deep in Cornwall or stretch further afield, the session is open to all. It's a relaxed, informal evening with no prior knowledge needed. A good fit for anyone who has always wondered about their family origins but hasn't yet found the time or the starting point to look.
