Peter Knight's Gigspanner Trio, Falmouth

Peter Knight has been a cornerstone of the British folk scene since his first performance with Steeleye Span back in 1970. The Gigspanner Trio is the original line-up from which all other configurations evolved — Knight alongside guitarist Roger Flack and hand percussionist Sacha Trochet — and it remains the most loved for its warmth, intimacy and almost telepathic interplay. This evening at The Tolmen Centre in Falmouth is a special one: the Trio will be showcasing selected pieces from their long-awaited new album. Expect virtuosic musicianship and the kind of quiet brilliance that Folk Radio UK has praised as being "one of the most quietly brilliant sets of musicians in the folk world and beyond."
