Low Tide Table: Octopus and Chorizo
The Hidden Hut brings one of its beloved long-table suppers to the beach at Portscatho, with diners gathering on the sand as the tide recedes. The centrepiece is saffron baked rice with braised Gerrans Bay octopus and Cornish chorizo — a dish rooted in the best of local waters and Cornish charcuterie. It's a communal affair, eaten shoulder to shoulder at a shared table just feet from the waterline. These beach suppers tend to fill fast, so worth booking early if fresh seafood, sea air and a sunset setting sound like your kind of Friday evening.
