Expressive Landscapes Workshop with Anne Byrne

Anne Byrne, a semi-finalist in Sky Landscape Artist of the Year 2023, leads this one-day workshop at Cornwall School of Art in Truro on Thursday 8 October, starting at 11am. It is open to all levels, with a particular focus on beginners and intermediate artists, and is priced from £80. The session centres on responding to the landscape through observation, experimentation, and expressive mark-making, with participants working to translate what captures their attention into artworks using a range of mixed-media techniques. The workshop aims to encourage deeper observation and personal connection with the landscape, develop expressive mark-making and creative media combinations, build confidence in responding intuitively to surroundings, and support participants in creating one or more mixed-media landscape artworks.
