The Mousehole Cat at Trelissick Garden
Falmouth Shout performs The Mousehole Cat at Trelissick Garden, the National Trust estate near Feock, on Wednesday 23 December at 1pm — a few days before Christmas and a fitting time for this Cornish winter story. The Mousehole Cat is a classic tale rooted in Cornwall, following the fisherman Tom Bawcock and his cat Mowzer as they brave a stormy sea to feed the starving village of Mousehole. Performed outdoors in the garden grounds, it brings the story to life in the county it comes from. A lovely outing for families with younger children over the Christmas break, and a chance to visit one of Cornwall's most scenic National Trust gardens at a quieter time of year.
