Granny's Attic
Granny's Attic are Cohen Braithwaite-Kilcoyne (melodeon, anglo concertina and vocals), George Sansome (guitar and vocals) and Lewis Wood (violin and vocals). They have been touring the UK and Europe since 2009, with bookings at Cambridge Folk Festival and Cecil Sharp House among many others. Grounded in tradition, they also write their own compositions and explore fresh approaches. Their 2021 instrumental album The Brickfields was followed in 2025 by Cold Blows the Wind, a largely traditional collection that, according to the band's own listing, went down well with reviewers and audiences. KLOF Magazine described them as "one of the most exciting and accomplished English folk acts on the scene right now." Mark Radcliffe on BBC Radio 2 said: "They're very well established now amongst the top English trad players in the country."
