Heritage Open Days at Carn Euny Ancient Village
Carn Euny is one of the most remarkable prehistoric sites in West Cornwall — a settlement dating back over two thousand years, complete with an enigmatic underground fogou passage. On Friday 11 September it opens free of charge as part of Heritage Open Days, the national weekend celebrating history and culture. Wander the well-preserved stone roundhouse footings and let the landscape do the talking. This corner of West Penwith has changed little over the centuries, and the views across the surrounding fields are as compelling as the archaeology itself. A rewarding outing for curious adults and older children alike. Entry is free and no booking is needed — just turn up and explore at your own pace.
