Jackie Oates and John Spiers Christmas Wassail, Truro
Jackie Oates and John Spiers come to Old Bakery Studios in Truro on Saturday 12 December for an evening that weaves folk music and the old tradition of wassailing into a midwinter celebration. The theatre setting is well-suited to the warmth and attentiveness that good acoustic folk demands. A wassail, at its heart, is a communal toast to the season — marked with song, good cheer, and a sense of shared occasion. Both musicians bring real craft to the form, and the evening promises to feel rooted in English folk tradition while remaining very much a live event. This suits folk enthusiasts and anyone looking for a more reflective alternative to the usual Christmas season entertainments. Tickets are priced at £22.17.
