Landscape painting in oils with Anne Byrne

Anne Byrne, a professional artist, leads this oil painting workshop at Cornwall School of Art, Truro on Wednesday 7 October 2026, starting at 11:00 am. Priced from £80, it is suitable for beginners and intermediate painters. The day combines demonstrations, guided practice, and individual feedback. You will work on planning compositions, blocking in shapes and tonal values, layering colour, and building texture and depth through a range of brushwork and oil techniques. You can work from sketches, photos, or the immediate environment, with one-to-one guidance throughout. By the end of the session, the aim is to leave with a finished or nearly finished painting and practical skills to continue developing at home.
