Laure and the Little Spoons live at The Acorn
Laure and the Little Spoons formed in Cognac in August/September 2025, bringing together five musicians who had all played together before in various formats. The band plays an imaginative mix of blues, soul and funk, drawing on both well-known and lesser-known artists including Robert Cray, Bonnie Raitt and Link Wray. Laure Wong sings and plays washboard and percussion, fronting the band alongside Stuart Tizzard on vocals and guitar; the two also sing individually. Thom Carlton plays guitar in a style described as reminiscent of Albert King. Michel Rolland — creator of the Cognac Blues Passions festival — is on bass guitar, with Patrick Moindron on drums.
