Low Tide Walk between Tresco and Bryher
Once a year, the tides around the Isles of Scilly do something remarkable — the sea pulls back far enough to reveal a natural sandbar connecting Tresco and Bryher, and for a short time you can walk between them across the seabed. This year it falls on Saturday 12 September, and both islands mark the occasion with pop-up beach bars, fresh seafood, and live music on the shore. You can join from either Tresco or Bryher and make your way across when the sandbar emerges. Keep an ear out for the klaxon — when it sounds, it's time to head back before the tide returns. A practical reminder that this is nature's event first, and the sea sets the schedule.
