Make a Stone Set Ring workshop in Saltash

This three-hour workshop at Creative Explorers Workshop in Saltash takes you through making a cabochon stone set ring in sterling silver from scratch. You'll start by forming a base ring from D-shaped or rectangle wire, texture it, then solder a pre-made bezel cup onto it. After sanding and polishing, you'll set a 6mm stone with a flat back and domed top. No previous experience is needed, though the workshop is also a good follow-on if you've already attended a Make a Silver Ring session. All tools and materials are provided, including sterling silver throughout. The class runs for three hours to allow for all the stages involved, with breaks and refreshments along the way. Places are limited to four people. You can book online or in person at the workshop. If you have a preference for a particular stone colour, note it when booking. Wear closed-toe shoes and tie back long hair. The workshop costs £65.
