Mesmerado Concert and Dance Evening at Scorrier House
Hosted by Claudia Caolín Dance & Entertainment, this evening at Scorrier House runs from 6:30 pm to 11:30 pm on Saturday 28 November 2026. Tickets are £45–£55, and the event is for ages 18 and over with free parking available. The evening is divided into four sections. Singer Claudia Therése opens with an opera concert in the Great Hall, performing arias from composers including Bizet, Verdi and the Gershwin brothers, accompanied by pianist Anthony Trodd. After the opera, a tapas and snacks buffet is included in the ticket price, provided by Genki Café with vegan options available, and drinks can be purchased at the bar. The programme moves to a jazz concert in the Drawing Room, delivered by Claudia Therése, Anthony Trodd and a small band by candlelight. The final section begins with a Modern Jive dance lesson led by Claudia and her dancing partner Gregor Candlin — roughly 45 minutes, aimed at beginners and improvers — followed by a free-style dance until 11:30 pm. Singles are welcome; the organisers note there will be other singles present and will encourage changing partners. The conservatory and gardens are open for guests to take a stroll. Bed and breakfast accommodation is optional and must be booked separately with the venue (scorrierhouse.co.uk, 01209 820264).
