MR.B's Probably Accurate Hip-Hop History Show
Mr. B invented Chap-Hop in 2007, having spent years as a Britrap hitmaker and performed with luminaries including Grandmaster Flash and Gravediggaz. His Probably Accurate Hip-Hop History Show arrives at Old Bakery Studios on Friday 27 November, bringing his take on the full story of rap — straight out of Surrey. Equal parts rapper, banjolele maverick, storyteller, beatmaker and dandy, the show is packed with interpretations of rap favourites and original songs on subjects including cricket, pipe smoking, high society and interfering with livestock. Expect previously unknown facts, stories, fly dancing, and by his own admission, maybe a bit of guessing. The album accompanying this tour will be his fifteenth. The Telegraph called it "Hip-Hop comedy genius"; The Independent said "Hilarious"; the Evening Standard described it as "The home service meets Run DMC." Under-16s are welcome with a parent or legal guardian. Tickets are £20.01. Refunds are available up to seven days before the event.
