Parents swim and sauna session at Jubilee Pool
Every Wednesday through September, parents of babies aged 0 to 18 months are welcome to join a relaxed community swim and sauna session at Penzance's Jubilee Pool. The two-hour slot runs from 10.30am to 12.30pm, with each parent taking a 30-minute turn in the pool and sauna while other group members supervise the creche. The sessions are volunteer-run with support from the lido, and need a minimum of three people to go ahead — so there are always at least two adults with the babies. It's an easy, low-pressure way to get some time in the water, catch some air, and meet other local parents. Entry costs £7.50 (covering the main pool and sauna). Note that the geothermal pool is not included. If you can't make it, let the organiser know by 9am on the day so sauna slots can be passed on.
