Oars Up! pale ale launch, Launceston
Firebrand Brewing Co are launching Oars Up!, their latest limited-batch brew, at the Firebrand Taproom in Launceston on Saturday 3 October from 5pm to 8pm. The beer is a collaboration with Sea Change Atlantic: a 4.5% West Coast style pale ale brewed with Harlequin and Mosaic hops, with notes of marmalade and pineapple and a malt that brings biscuit with a hint of caramel. It will be available on the night in cask, keg and can. Sea Change Atlantic are a crew preparing to row 3,200 miles across the Atlantic early next year, raising money for Parkinson's UK and other local charities. Ten pence from every can sold goes to Parkinson's UK. On the night you can see the boat the crew will row across the Atlantic, meet the rowers, and chat to the brewers behind the beer.
