Rambling in Redruth manor maps walk
Starting from Kresen Kernow, this two-and-a-half-hour walk takes you around Redruth with historians and landscape specialists from the Historic Environment Record and Cornwall National Landscape, using rare historic manor maps as a guide. Although the manorial system faded from the 16th century onwards, traces of those old boundaries and estates are still embedded in the streets and stonework of modern Redruth. The walk draws on the Mapping the Past for the Future project to bring those clues to the surface. It suits anyone curious about local history or the way the landscape around us was shaped — no specialist knowledge needed. Places are limited, so booking in advance is essential.
