Reclaim the Night, Falmouth
Reclaim the Night is a nationwide event brought to Falmouth this year by The Women's Centre Cornwall, who have held events like this across Cornwall for over 20 years. It begins at 6pm on Thursday 10 December at The Cornish Bank, Falmouth. The evening opens with a vigil that includes poetry, music performed by women, and a name reading ceremony honouring the women and children who have lost their lives to male violence this year. Men are invited to attend this part of the event in solidarity. A women-only march — open to those who have experienced misogyny — then moves through Falmouth, concluding at The Moor Piazza. The time inside the venue will be standing, with a few seats available for those who need them. Children are welcome, though the content may be upsetting or sensitive and can include swearing. Contact The Women's Centre Cornwall directly if you have any accessibility needs. Bring banners, drums, and your voice.
