Richard Trethewey at New Wadebridge Folk Club
Richard Trethewey is a singer, fiddle and cittern player born in Cornwall's Clay Country. In 2020 he was made a Bard of the Cornish Gorsedh, taking the name 'Kaner Drollys' — meaning Singer of Stories. He appears at New Wadebridge Folk Club on Thursday 19 November at 7pm, in the intimate surroundings of The Barn at NT Pentireglaze. On the night he will be presenting songs from his new EP, Richard Gendall's Cornish Protest Songs, launched 25th October, alongside many of his well-known favourites. He will be joined by local folkie Neal Jolly and other friends at various points in the programme. Admission includes a hot drink and homemade cake. Bring your own cold and alcoholic drinks.
