Shoresearch survey at Hannafore Beach, Looe
Shoresearch is a citizen science programme that trains volunteers to survey rocky shores, recording the plants and animals they find to build up a picture of the health of Cornwall's intertidal habitats. This free session takes place at Hannafore Beach in Looe on Sunday 27 September, starting at 10am. Expect to get close to the shore — turning rocks, peering into pools, and identifying creatures with guidance from experienced surveyors. No prior knowledge is needed. It's a good fit for anyone curious about the coast, whether you're a local wanting to give something back or a visitor looking for a more active way to connect with Cornwall's marine environment.
