Silly Season — Jenna Grassick & Danielle Smith at ALMA
Silly Season is a week-long exhibition of new work by Jenna Grassick and Danielle Smith, two Cornwall-based makers, opening at ALMA Artspace in Newquay on 7 September. The timing is deliberate — catching the very tail of the county's most intense stretch of the year. The work takes peak summer as its subject: the particular frenzy, the crowds, the absurdity of a place that transforms so dramatically for a few months and then, just as suddenly, starts to breathe again. If you live here and know that feeling well, this show gives it shape. Visitors with a curiosity about how locals experience the season are just as welcome to come and look.
