Skeletons of the Sea, Padstow
Skeletons of the Sea is a Halloween-themed family event running throughout October half term at the National Lobster Hatchery in Padstow. Visitors follow a spooky scavenger trail through the hatchery, uncovering the strange and fascinating creatures living beneath Cornwall's coastal waters. Activities include getting up close with the resident lobsters to learn what lies beneath their shells, exploring the world of crustaceans and other deep-sea animals, and taking part in hands-on, Halloween-themed activities designed for younger visitors. The visitor centre is compact but full of marine life and stories, making it well suited to families with younger children. Running across two weeks of half term, it offers a chance to mix seasonal fun with some genuine discovery about the sea life found around Cornwall's coast.
