Slow Stitch Club at Cornish Craft Barn
Slow Stitch Club meets on the first Tuesday of every month at the Cornish Craft Barn in Blackwater, running from 10am to 4pm — though you are welcome to come for as much of the day as suits you. The focus is hand stitching: embroidery, hand quilting, English paper piecing, mending, or whatever you like to work on. It is not a tutored session, but a friendly room where experience is shared alongside chat, coffee and cake. To get started in October, the group will be making a hand-stitched needle book in felt and linen with simple embroidery. You are welcome to join in or simply bring your own project. Payment is requested quarterly in advance at £17.50 per session (£52.50 for three). If you miss a session, the credit can be used at any of the Cornish Craft Barn's other monthly clubs, or carried over within a six-month period. A single session costs £20 for those who want to try it out or come along occasionally. Lunch is available in the cafe with a 10% discount on the day, and parking is available outside. Refreshments are included.
