Steve Knightley & The Winter Yards Band, Falmouth
Steve Knightley, co-founder of Show of Hands, plays Princess Pavilion on 7 November with the Winter Yards Band: David Delarre on guitar, John Parker on double bass and Evan Carson on percussion. Special guest Megan Henwood joins them for the evening. The set combines songs from the Winter Yards album with new material written on the road — described in the source as stories of landscape, community and the changing world. Knightley's writing blends poetic songwriting with a cinematic acoustic sound, a style the source calls "folk noir". Henwood opens with a 35-minute solo set, then returns to perform alongside the band, adding her own songs, harmonies and musicianship throughout. Tickets at steveknightley.com.
