Scimitar Tank Tours and Junk Modelling Workshop
Bodmin Keep is hosting guided tours of a Scimitar light tank on loan from The Tank Museum, alongside a drop-in junk modelling workshop, on Tuesday 20 October. Tours of the Scimitar run for fifteen minutes at 11.00, 12.00, 13.00 and 14.00. Guides will cover the vehicle's design, capabilities and operational history, including how reconnaissance vehicles like the Scimitar were used on active service, the role they played on the battlefield, and what life was like for the crews. Visitors can also take photographs with the vehicle before it returns to The Tank Museum. The junk modelling workshop is a drop-in session. Inspired by the Scimitar and Bodmin Keep's own Ferret Scout Car, visitors are invited to get creative and design their own armoured vehicle to take home.
