Teylu Visiting Artist: Tyreis Holder
Tyreis Holder's contribution to the Teylu Visiting Artist programme occupies the Foyle Studio at Tate St Ives. The work draws on the five senses and Black British Caribbean heritage, using textiles and making to create a space for rest and conversation rooted in familial spaces of domesticity and ancestral healing. Over five days, Holder collaborated with visitors and local groups of all ages to build the piece. Local schools and community partner Kowetha contributed to the final space. Entry is included with a standard Tate St Ives ticket, and free for Members and Local pass holders.
