The Armed Man – A Mass for Peace
Karl Jenkins's The Armed Man – A Mass for Peace comes to St Michael's Church in Newquay on Saturday 14 November 2026. One of the most performed choral works of recent decades, it weaves together texts from different traditions to create a meditation on war and the longing for peace. St Michael's provides a fitting setting — the acoustics and architecture of a working church add weight to music that was written with sacred spaces in mind. Whether you're a regular concert-goer or new to choral music, this is an accessible and moving evening that suits anyone who appreciates live performance with a strong sense of place.
